Join us for the first-ever Chocolate Market hosted at The Tannery (Mill #1, 50 Water Street Newburyport)— for a curated marketplace where you can browse, taste, and shop directly from artisan chocolatiers and confectioners. Discover handcrafted creations, meet the makers behind them, and bring a little something home. The Market is open to all Tour ticketholders from 12:00–4:00 PM.

What is the Chocolate Tour?

The Newburyport Chocolate Tour is an annual community-driven event where participants can visit over 30 local shops in the downtown area, sampling a variety of chocolate treats at every stop. Proceeds from the event benefit several local charitable organizations.

That’s the mission. It’s all about bringing people together to enjoy sweet treats while supporting local businesses and giving back to the community. All proceeds benefit local community organizations. Amantha Moore founded the event, which has been run for many years under the leadership of Diane Hawkins Clark and Kevin Clark — continuing a tradition of fun, flavor, and giving.

Tickets can be purchased through our official website. Buying tickets in advance is recommended, as the event may sell out.​ All purchases are nonrefundable.

What is the Sweet Tooth Scavenger Hunt?

The Sweet Tooth Scavenger Hunt is an optional add-on for participating shops. As a Scavenger Hunt stop, your shop is featured on a special challenge map given to ticketholders, encouraging them to seek out and spend more time in your store. It's a great way to increase foot traffic and engagement on Tour day.

The cost to participate in the Scavenger Hunt is $20.00, due at the time of sign-up through the application form.

Scavenger Hunt stops are highlighted on the official tour map and promoted on our social media channels in the lead-up to the event. Ticket holders actively seek out these locations as part of the challenge, which means they spend more time in your store.

No. Standard Participation in the Tour is included at no additional cost. The Scavenger Hunt is a completely optional upgrade for shops that want extra visibility and engagement.

The number of Scavenger Hunt stops is limited to ensure the challenge remains engaging for ticketholders. We recommend signing up early to secure your spot.
